Crows Feet

Crow’s feet are wrinkles at the corner of your eyes, near the temple.

What is it?

Crow's feet, or laughter lines as they're sometimes called, are a natural part of aging. They appear as small wrinkles at the outer edges of the eyes. These lines result from lifetimes of facial expressions such as smiling, frowning or squinting. They're often among the first signs of aging to emerge on the face. Factors such as sun exposure, smoking, skin type and the absence of a consistent skincare routine can speed up this natural process. While crow's feet are a standard aspect of aging, some individuals might feel these wrinkles make them seem older than their actual age.

How is it treated?

Our team of board-certified dermatologists can offer a range of treatments to reduce the visibility of crow's feet. Depending on your specific concerns and desired outcomes, our dermatologists can suggest treatments like Botox injections, which can temporarily immobilize the muscles around the eyes to lessen the appearance of lines, along with chemical peels or topical retinoids which can assist in collagen production. Schedule an appointment at one of our offices in Avon, Sandusky, Broadview Heights, Medina, Port Clinton and Strongsville, Ohio to determine which treatment is right for you.
